What began as an independent project in high school evolved into A La Moda Magazine during the COVID-19 lockdown as a response to the need for connection, creative opportunity, and community. A La Moda is now a community-driven publication based in Austin, Texas, with a mission to bring Central Texas artists together while providing a platform — and funding opportunities — for creatives to share their work. As the founder, creative lead, and manager of A La Moda, I oversee the vision, storytelling, and growth of the platform while fostering an inclusive space where artists from both Texas and around the world are invited to participate.

Twice a year, I lead the recruitment and onboarding of multidisciplinary creatives — including photographers, videographers, models, stylists, writers, and visual artists — guiding them through a collaborative production process rooted in communication, trust, and shared storytelling. This includes campaign development for open calls, coordinating teams, managing workflows through email and Slack, and maintaining A La Moda’s online presence. I also lead social strategy and campaigns to promote applications, events, and merchandise, using storytelling to build relationships with contributors, audiences, and community partners. Each cycle culminates in a printed publication and bi-annual art show, where digital storytelling transitions into real-world community, reinforcing my belief that platforms grow strongest when built on honest narratives and meaningful connection.
